Changes have not only been made for the desktop software, but also our mobile range of solutions. The emphasis has been, once more, on improving user-friendliness in order to make field operations as hassle-free as possible. The most notable changes are shown below.

#1 New Site Mate Button Layout

Site Mate has a new look on the Job tab. In order to quickly open an existing scouting file, an “Open” button is located next to the “New Scouting Job” button. Simply select “Open” and choose the file from the storage card or main memory.

#2 'Fat Finger' Keyboard in Site Mate

The “Mate” programs have a new 'fat finger' keyboard for entering text. No need to use a stylus with these buttons, the fat finger format is a quick method for entering text on-the-go.

#3 Larger Buttons in Farm Site Mate

Farm Works listened to customer suggestions and enlarged the important buttons in Site Mate that are used the most.  This includes the Start, Stop and Log buttons.

#4 Farm Site Mate has a "Flags" Button

Have you ever been in the middle of making a map (such as a coverage or boundary map) and wanted the ability to mark a flag on-the-go?  Maybe it was a rock or broken tile that you wanted to find again.  With Site Mate version 12, the map tab has a "Flags" button that appears for mapping those trouble spots without stopping your log file.  Whenever you hit this button, Site Mate will map a point in the background.  The point will be displayed as a red dot and will be included with the map files that are logged.

#5 Easier Navigation Between the "Tabs" in the Mate Programs

Navigating between Site Mate, Trac Mate, and Guide Mate on a Pocket PC just became easier in version 12.  Version 12 has changed the layout of these tabs so all of them appear on the same screen.

#6 Site Mate VRA includes a Rate Tab

It has been requested that many users did not want to view the "Map" tab when viewing the target and applied rates.  The rates that appear on the "Map" tab are fairly small, especially when using a Pocket PC.  Site Mate VRA version 12 now has a "Rate" tab for viewing the target and applied rates that fill the entire screen.  These are easier to see and the buttons for Go, Stop, and Setup are much bigger.

#7 Guide Mate Displays Target/Prescription Rate and As-Applied Rate

When you use Guide Mate in conjunction with Site Mate VRA, the Guidance tab in Guide Mate will now display the Target/Prescription Rate that is being sent to a controller along with the As-Applied Rate.
